Katherine von Drachenberg, known as Kat Von D, is a 42-year-old artist who is covering her tattoos after converting to Christianity. She revealed in an interview how long it took to cover her body art.
The 42-year-old tattoo artist and musician told Inked Mag that she got her first tattoo at 14 and is now covering the designs with black ink, known as blackout.
“I think I was tired of many of the tattoos I had done over the years,” she revealed. Kat mentioned that it took 17 sessions and nearly 40 accumulated hours to cover 80% of her body.
The artist became famous in the early 2000s after appearing on the reality shows “Miami Ink” and “LA Ink.”
Now converted, Katherine von Drachenberg commented on having abandoned her association with witchcraft and related beliefs.
“I was just seeking answers and meaning in so many wrong places, as most people do. I no longer want those crutches in my life, and that’s how I really see them. I just want Jesus, and it’s a very narrow path,” she confessed.
